Peter Cowley studied Engineering and Computer Science at Cambridge University, now lives near Cambridge and owns/runs small businesses in technology and construction. Peter has spec-built several domestic houses and refurbished many others, including the £1.7 million Cambridge Advice Centre. Peter has been voluntary chair, treasurer and trustee of numerous charities for over a decade – the Citizens Advice service, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation charity and a local private sixth form college. Peter is a director of the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring and runs their mentoring service, and is chair of the ideaSpace incubator’s supporters. He is a freeman of the City of London and is on the advisory board of a Social Enterprise in criminal justice.

He has been an active angel investor for several years and is the Investment Director of the Marshall of Cambridge, Martlet Corporate Angel, and a board member of Cambridge Angels. He has nearly 30 angel investments and his invested sectors include web and mobile software, energy, biotech, fintech, edtech, medtech, security and construction. He has led many investment deals and is a non-executive director of several angel-backed start-ups.
